Dr Adam Duncan

Adam is a chartered clinical psychologist, working currently in adult mental health. He achieved Distinction in his Advanced Diploma in Psychology at Oxford Brookes University before going on to complete doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia. Since qualifying, he has worked in the National Health Service for over 15 years. Over his career, Adam has developed expertise across specialties such as adult and child mental health, learning disabilities, health psychology and neurorehabilitation.
Adam has worked in services supporting older adolescents and adults with both common and more complex mental health needs, such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar mood disorder, and personality disorders.
Adam has expertise in offering psychological therapy using a wide range of different therapeutic models including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, systemic, Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), and third wave CBT approaches such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy.
He regularly works with families and groups, as well as individuals and has extensive experience of supervising other clinicians. He has experience in conducting medicolegal assessments as an expert witness.
He is chartered by the British Psychological Society as well as registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
