Lucy Robertson

I am a systemic family psychotherapist and I have 12 years post qualification experience. I have 3 years experience teaching systemic psychotherapy at introduction and intermediate levels for the Institute of Family Therapy and at the Tavistock and Portman NHS trust. I am also a qualified yoga teacher and can offer therapeutic yoga sessions individually and in groups.

I offer individual, couple and family systemic therapy, consultation and supervision. Systemic therapy is a no blames approach that treats people with respect whist helping them improve communication, mood and relationships. There is evidence to suggest that systemic family therapy is helpful for children and young people suffering with low mood or depression, anxiety symptoms and self harm as well as working with people with diagnoses of autism, Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD. It a flexible approach that works well when people feel stuck with problems in their lives.

We also facilitate a number of therapeutic, psycho-educational and multi family groups for children, young people and families. We run a group for teenagers suffering with depression and anxiety.

We can offer groups for parents of young people who are deliberately self-harming. We also facilitate groups for children and families who are suffering with high levels of anxiety. As well as groups for families with young people who have diagnoses of Asperger’s, autism and social communication disorders.
